Privacy Policy

switch402 is operated by Tim Duffey, New Jersey, USA. This page explains what switch402 collects, why, and how long we keep it.

What we store

Free tools: to enforce fair-use limits we store a salted hash of your IP address (never the IP itself) and a count of your calls for that tool and day.

Paid calls: we do not store the URL or query you send, and we do not keep a per-request record of who paid. We keep running spend totals with no user details. Your wallet address is stored only briefly: for 24 hours if your payment fails to settle, and for 10 minutes after repeated failed calls on one route.

Prepaid credits: if you buy credits, we store a one-way hash of your API key (never the key itself), your wallet address, your balance and a daily purchase count.

Payments: every payment is a public transaction on Base that shows the paying wallet, the amount and the transaction hash. We may read that public record to count and reconcile payments.

Logs: our code logs the route, status and timing of calls, plus error messages, which can occasionally include details of the failed request.

Who else processes your data

To fulfil a call, the URL or query you send is passed to the infrastructure and data providers we use for that call.

The switch402 API runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may keep request logs, which can include your IP address and the request URL.

The switch402.com website uses Google Analytics to count visits, which sets analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies. If you sign up for updates or email us, we keep your email address to send updates or reply.

We do not sell or rent your data.

Retention

Free-tool rate-limit records are deleted automatically about an hour after each day ends (UTC).

Failed-payment records are kept for 24 hours, and repeated-failure records for 10 minutes.

Prepaid credit records are kept while your credits exist.

Hosting logs are kept only as long as our hosting provider's standard log retention (for Cloudflare Workers logs, at most 7 days). Website analytics follow Google Analytics' retention settings.

On-chain transactions are public and permanent, so we cannot delete them.
