ScraperAPI Pricing Explained (2026): Plans from $49, Credits per Request and What a Page Really Costs
ScraperAPI pricing, checked Nov 3, 2026 (monthly billing): Hobby $49 for 100,000 API credits, Startup $149 for 1,000,000, Business $299 for 3,000,000, Scaling $475 for 5,000,000, Professional $975 for 10,500,000 and Advanced $1,975 for 21,500,000, 10% less on annual billing, plus a free plan of 1,000 credits a month. What a request costs depends on its credits, and one request is not always one credit. Per ScraperAPI's pricing page and credit docs, a standard page costs 1 credit, Amazon, Walmart and eBay 5, Google and Bing 25 and LinkedIn 30; render=true or premium=true costs 10, both together 25, and sites behind bot protection cost more again. Credits reset when the subscription renews. Here is what each request type costs, and how switch402 differs: you pay only for the pages you actually fetch.
ScraperAPI pricing explained
ScraperAPI sells monthly plans that each include a set number of API credits. Every request uses credits, and the number depends on the site you request and the parameters you send: a standard page uses the fewest, while some domains, JavaScript rendering and premium proxy options use more.
The credit balance resets when the subscription renews, so what you pay per page is the plan price divided by the pages you actually scrape that month. The table below lists credits per request type from the sources cited, and the ScraperAPI cost calculator works it out for your volume.
We built switch402 to work differently: there are no credits or multipliers, and each successful page is paid for on its own.

- A standard page is 1 credit
Per ScraperAPI, one credit is the cost of a standard page request, but what you consume depends on the site and the parameters you send. The sa-credit-cost response header shows what each request cost, and max_cost caps a single request.
- Domains multiply the cost
Amazon, Walmart and eBay cost 5 credits, Google and Bing (all subdomains) 25 and LinkedIn 30. Sites behind bot protection such as Cloudflare, DataDome or PerimeterX add 10 credits per request, per the pricing page.
- Parameters multiply it too
render=true costs 10 credits and premium=true 10, both together 25; ultra_premium=true costs 30, or 75 with render=true (paid plans only). country_code, session_number, device_type and output_format add nothing.
- Credits reset at renewal
Unused credits don't roll over: the balance resets when the subscription renews, so the plan price is the same whether you use 1% or 100% of it. When credits run out, scraping pauses until renewal unless you upgrade or, on higher plans, use pay-as-you-go.
ScraperAPI API credits per request, as of Oct 31, 2026
| ScraperAPI request type | API credits per request |
|---|---|
| Standard page | 1 |
| Amazon, Walmart, eBay | 5 |
| render=true (JavaScript rendering) | 10 |
| premium=true (premium proxies) | 10 |
| premium=true + render=true | 25 |
| Google, Bing (all subdomains) | 25 |
| 30 | |
| ultra_premium=true (paid plans) | 30 |
| ultra_premium=true + render=true (paid plans) | 75 |
| Site behind bot protection (Cloudflare, DataDome, PerimeterX) | +10 |
Credits reset when the subscription renews, so what you pay per request is the plan price divided by the requests you actually make that month. switch402 has no credits or multipliers: $0.008 per successful page on /v1/scrape and $0.003 on /v1/scrape/lite, and a month with no calls costs $0.
Sources, checked Oct 31, 2026: scraperapi.com/pricing, docs.scraperapi.com/credits-and-requests. Prices can change; check the source before you decide.
Example: 1,000 standard pages in a month use 1,000 of Hobby's 100,000 API credits, and the plan still costs $49. The same 1,000 pages on switch402 cost $8 ($3 on lite), and a month with no calls costs $0.

const { markdown } = await res.json() // $0.008, charged only on successFAQ
- Is switch402 live?
- Yes. POST https://api.switch402.com/v1/scrape with {"url": "..."} returns the page as markdown for $0.008 USDC on Base per call, paid over x402 and charged only on success. A lower-cost endpoint, /v1/scrape/lite, is $0.003 per call.
- How much does ScraperAPI cost?
- As of Nov 3, 2026, per scraperapi.com/pricing with monthly billing: Hobby $49/month (100,000 API credits), Startup $149/month (1,000,000), Business $299/month (3,000,000), Scaling $475/month (5,000,000), Professional $975/month (10,500,000) and Advanced $1,975/month (21,500,000). Enterprise pricing is custom. Annual billing is 10% off, the free plan gives 1,000 API credits a month, and new accounts get a 7-day trial with 5,000 credits.
- What does one ScraperAPI page cost?
- The plan price divided by the pages you actually scrape that month. On Hobby ($49, 100,000 credits), 1,000 standard pages cost $0.049 each and 50,000 cost about $0.001 each; a Google page uses 25 credits, so 4,000 Google pages use the whole plan. The ScraperAPI cost calculator works it out for your volume and site type.
- Is ScraperAPI cheaper than switch402?
- At steady volume, yes. Hobby covers 100,000 standard pages for $49, so once you scrape more than 6,125 standard pages a month it costs less than switch402's $0.008 per page (16,333 against lite's $0.003). switch402 costs less below that, in months with uneven or no usage, and needs no plan or account.
- Why did one ScraperAPI request use more than 1 credit?
- Because the domain or the parameters cost more. Per ScraperAPI's credit docs, render=true costs 10 credits, premium=true 10, both together 25, Amazon, Walmart and eBay 5, Google and Bing 25 and LinkedIn 30, and bot-protected sites add a bypass cost. The sa-credit-cost response header shows what each request cost.
- Do unused ScraperAPI credits roll over?
- No. Per scraperapi.com/pricing, the credit balance resets when the subscription renews.
- What happens when ScraperAPI credits run out?
- Per its pricing page, scraping pauses until your credits renew by default. Hobby through Professional can turn on auto-upgrade to the next plan, and Scaling, Professional, Advanced and Enterprise can use pay-as-you-go up to a monthly cap you set.
- How is switch402 different?
- There are no credits or multipliers: each successful call is paid on its own, $0.008 per page on /v1/scrape and $0.003 on /v1/scrape/lite, in USDC on Base over x402, and a month with no calls costs $0. Optional prepaid packs and a $10 monthly plan are there if you prefer a balance, and leftover balance stays on your key. ScraperAPI also offers CAPTCHA and anti-bot bypassing, geotargeting, premium proxies and structured data APIs, which switch402 does not.
- Where do these numbers come from?
- ScraperAPI's pricing page (plan prices, credits, rollover and running out, re-checked Nov 3, 2026) and its credits and request costs docs (credits per domain and parameter, fetched Oct 31, 2026), plus switch402's live payment terms. Prices can change; check the sources before you decide.
