Scraper API Pricing Compared (2026): Cost per Page at 1,000, 10,000 and 100,000 Pages
Scraper API pricing, checked Nov 2, 2026 on each vendor's own pricing page (monthly billing): Firecrawl, ScrapingBee and ZenRows start at $19 a month, Scrapfly at $30, ScraperAPI at $49 and Diffbot at $299, and Jina Reader bills by output tokens from a prepaid balance. switch402 has no plan: $0.008 per successful page on /v1/scrape and $0.003 on /v1/scrape/lite. The honest answer to which costs less is: it depends on volume. Below 2,375 pages a month switch402 costs less than any paid entry plan here (a free tier, if one fits, costs $0); at 10,000 basic pages most plans cost less per page than switch402, and at 100,000 every plan in the table costs less per page than /v1/scrape.
- How the table is worked out
For each volume we take the cheapest monthly plan or plan size (plus pay-as-you-go where the vendor sells it) that covers that many pages, and divide its price by the pages you actually use. The rows assume every page needs the same credits, as labelled.
- When switch402 costs less
At low or uneven volume. A plan bills its full price whatever you use, so 1,000 pages on a $19 plan cost $0.019 each. switch402 is $0.008 per page used ($0.003 on lite), and a month with no calls costs $0.
- When a plan costs less
At steady volume. Plan credits get cheap per page once you use most of them: at 100,000 basic pages a month every plan in the table costs less per page than switch402, lite included. Free tiers cost $0 if your volume fits them.
- What the price covers
The vendors sell more than page-to-text: JavaScript rendering options, premium or residential proxies, anti-bot unblockers, crawling, structured extraction or a knowledge graph. switch402 returns a public page as markdown, plus screenshots, web search, site maps, page metadata and PDF to text, each priced per call.

Plainly: at 1,000 pages a month switch402 ($8, or $3 on lite) costs less than every paid entry plan here, but a free tier that covers your volume costs $0. At 10,000 basic pages, Firecrawl, ScrapingBee, ScraperAPI, ZenRows and Scrapfly all cost less per page than /v1/scrape, and ScrapingBee and ZenRows also cost less than lite (Scrapfly is the same, $0.003). At 100,000 pages every row in the table costs less per page than /v1/scrape, and for basic pages every plan also costs less than lite. Jina Reader can cost less than switch402 for short pages; its page bills by output tokens but does not publish a token pack price, so we show no per-page number for it.

Break-even against an entry plan: switch402 at $0.008 a page costs less than a $19 plan up to 2,374 pages a month, a $30 plan up to 3,749, a $49 plan up to 6,124 and a $299 plan up to 37,374. On lite ($0.003) those points are 6,333, 9,999, 16,333 and 99,666 pages. Above them, the plan costs less per page if you use it.

- How much does a scraper API cost?
- As of Nov 2, 2026, per each vendor's pricing page with monthly billing, entry plans are Firecrawl Hobby $19 (5,000 credits), ScrapingBee Hobby $19 (75,000), ZenRows Build $19 (45,000), Scrapfly Discovery $30 (200,000), ScraperAPI Hobby $49 (100,000) and Diffbot Startup $299 (250,000). A basic page is 1 credit on each; JavaScript rendering, premium proxies or anti-bot options cost more. Jina Reader bills by output tokens. switch402 has no plan: $0.008 per successful page, $0.003 on lite.
- Which scraping API is cheapest per page?
- It depends on volume. At 100,000 basic pages a month the lowest in this table is Scrapfly Discovery ($30, $0.0003 a page), and every plan here costs less per page than switch402. At 1,000 pages a month a free tier that fits costs $0; among paid options switch402 is lowest ($3 on lite, $8 on /v1/scrape) because entry plans start at $19.
- When does pay per call cost less than a plan?
- When you use fewer pages than the plan price divided by the per-page price. At $0.008 a page, switch402 costs less than a $19 plan up to 2,374 pages a month, a $49 plan up to 6,124 and Diffbot's $299 Startup up to 37,374. Above that, a plan you actually use costs less per page.
- Are failed requests charged?
- Per the vendors' pages: Firecrawl does not charge a scrape that returns no result but charges 1 credit for a page returned with an error status such as 403 or 404; ZenRows never charges failed requests, and 404 or 410 count as results; Scrapfly does not bill failed scrapes, subject to its fairness policy. switch402 charges only when content comes back; if every provider fails you get a 502 and pay nothing.
- Why is there no per-page price for Jina Reader?
- Jina's Reader page (checked Nov 2, 2026) says usage is billed by the tokens in each response, drawn from a prepaid balance on an API key, but it does not publish a token pack price, so we can't turn it into a per-page number. For short pages Jina can cost less than switch402; use the Jina calculator with the price from your own dashboard.
- Where do these numbers come from?
- Each vendor's own pricing page, fetched Nov 2, 2026 (Scrapfly's credit costs from its Web Scraping API billing docs), plus switch402's live x402 payment terms the same day ($0.008 on /v1/scrape, $0.003 on /v1/scrape/lite). Prices change; check the sources before you decide.
